Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in all surgeries ( Local freezing, Neurolept sedation/IV sedation, Pediatric, Dental Implants etc..) along side Oral Surgeon
- Set up surgical trays/OR’s- Sterilization
- Take X-rays (PAN & PA), CBCT scans and Oral Scans. Uploading scans/CTs into digital scanner and/or software
- Seat patients/review medical documentation
- Excellent time-management and attention to detail is a must
- Inventory, ordering supplies, tracking
- Check patient vitals
- Filling and organizing charts
- Explain pre and post operative instructions, communicating necessary information to patients
- Assess post operative care and status of surgical sites
This is a very fast-paced Oral & Maxillofacial Surgical Clinic. Excellent speaking and comprehension of the English Language is a must.
Those with a Registered Dental Assistant, Registered Dental Hygienist, Licensed Practical Nurse diploma and/or work-related experience in surgical assisting, will be considered.
