Storemark is a commercial millwork facility serving Atlantic Canada for over 23 years. We specialize in custom fit-ups, cabinetry, architectural millwork, institutional casework, hospitality interiors, retail environments, and multi-unit residential projects.

Our facility operates advanced CNC manufacturing equipment and delivers projects ranging from custom commercial interiors to large-scale architectural millwork installations.

Storemark is seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager to oversee commercial millwork and architectural woodwork projects from tender award through final installation and closeout.

The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of awarded projects including estimating handoff, scheduling, shop drawing review, procurement, production coordination, site communication, installation support, budgeting, and client relations. This role is critical in ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the high-quality standards Storemark is known for throughout Atlantic Canada.

This position works closely with the General Manager, Production manager, drafting, purchasing, general contractors, consultants, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Coordination

  • Manage multiple commercial millwork projects simultaneously from award to completion
  • Review contracts, scopes of work, specifications, architectural drawings, and tender documents
  • Coordinate project kickoff meetings with internal departments
  • Develop and maintain project schedules aligned with production capacity and site requirements
  • Track project milestones, labour budgets, procurement timelines, and installation schedules
  • Identify project risks and proactively implement solutions

Client & Site Communication

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, general contractors, consultants, and site representatives
  • Attend site meetings, coordination meetings, and project walkthroughs when required
  • Maintain professional communication regarding schedules, RFIs, site conditions, deficiencies, and changes
  • Build strong long-term relationships with repeat commercial clients and contractors

Shop Drawing & Production Coordination

  • Coordinate shop drawing development and approval process
  • Work closely with programmers, CNC operators, and production management to ensure accurate manufacturing information
  • Review drawings and specifications for constructability and production efficiency
  • Assist with resolving field measurements, site conflicts, and installation challenges

Procurement & Budget Control

  • Coordinate purchasing requirements for materials, hardware, and specialty products
  • Monitor project costs, labour usage, and change orders
  • Prepare and price extras, credits, and change notices
  • Ensure projects remain within budget targets and margin expectations

Installation & Closeout

  • Coordinate delivery and installation schedules with Production Manager, site supervisors and lead installers
  • Track deficiencies and ensure timely completion
  • Manage project closeout documentation including warranties, maintenance information, and final invoicing support
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in commercial millwork, cabinetry, construction project management, or architectural woodworking
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction processes and millwork manufacturing
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and shop drawings
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities
  • Experience managing multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously
  • Proficient with AutoCAD /drafting software, Microsoft Office, scheduling software, and construction documentation
  • Experience with Ecabinet manufacturing software and CNC environments considered an asset
  • Knowledge of commercial interiors, institutional casework, retail fit-ups, and hospitality projects preferred
