Position Title: Bilingual Program Coordinator
Start Date: Immediately
Employment Type: Full-time Permanent
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, occasional evenings and Saturdays for community events, limited overtime.
Compensation: $45,500-$56,500/year
Work Location: Hybrid
Position Overview:
STEAM PEI is seeking a highly organized and adaptable Program Coordinator to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of our programs. This role blends administrative coordination, project management, and hands-on facilitation. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring programs run smoothly while also leading activities and supporting staff and volunteers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage projects, program logistics, including scheduling staff and organizing program delivery
- Oversee program registration, scheduling, and communication using platforms such as Jumbula and Appointy
- Plan and coordinate program delivery across multiple sites and partners
- Purchase and manage program supplies and materials
- Develop and maintain workshop kits that support ongoing programming (outside of specific projects)
- Support and coordinate staff training
- Coordinate volunteers, including onboarding and assisting with communication
- Provide hands-on facilitation of STEAM programs with children and youth
- Maintain accurate records, reporting, and program documentation
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for all participants
Qualifications:
- Bilingualism (English/French) is considered a strong asset
- An undergraduate degree in Business Administration or a related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years relevant experience.
- Experience in project management
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with children and/or youth
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
