Seagull Bakery & Café is looking for a passionate, reliable, and creative Pastry Baker/Baker to join our growing team. We are a small-batch bakery and café dedicated to crafting high-quality baked goods using fresh ingredients while providing a warm, welcoming experience for our community.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, breads, cookies, muffins, cupcakes, and other baked goods.
• Follow and consistently execute recipes while maintaining high quality standards.
• Decorate and finish pastries, cakes, and desserts.
• Prepare fillings, frostings, doughs, batters, and other bakery components.
• Monitor baking times, temperatures, and product quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen in accordance with health regulations.
• Assist with inventory management and notify management when ingredients or supplies are running low.
• Help develop seasonal menu items and new bakery offerings.
• Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Ensure products are prepared on time to meet daily café demand.

Qualifications

• Previous baking or pastry experience is preferred (professional or relevant home baking experience will be considered).
• Knowledge of baking techniques and food safety practices.
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and during busy periods.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs) and remain on your feet for extended periods.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
