Job Description:

The Programs & Projects Assistant will support the Chief Administrative Officer in the design, planning, promotion, delivery, and evaluation of all community programs and projects over the 2026 summer season. This may include, with supervision and guidance from the CAO:

  • helping to draft social media communications
  • planning educational events and workshops for the community
  • assisting in finding and applying for grants and funding
  • working with program/project partners
  • drafting evaluation metrics for grant-funded projects
  • drafting community newsletters
  • maintaining the community hall schedule
  • corresponding with maintenance staff about community events
  • light administrative duties
  • hands-on experiences with property management
    + more as needed or delegated by the CAO.

This position relies in particular on creativity, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving, and would suit any students looking to work in policy, government, project management, and the non-profit sector. To be eligible for this position, applicants must be entering or returning to post-secondary studies.
