About Royale Floors and Surfaces Inc.
Royale Floors and Surfaces Inc. is one of Atlantic Canada’s leading commercial flooring contractors, providing flooring installation services for institutional, healthcare, education, government and commercial construction projects throughout Nova Scotia and Atlantic Canada.
We are currently seeking a motivated and dependable Commercial Flooring Labourer to join our installation team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in the flooring trade while receiving on-the-job training from experienced installers.
Responsibilities
- Assist flooring installers with the installation of commercial flooring products.
- Load, unload and transport flooring materials, tools and equipment.
- Prepare job sites and subfloors for installation.
- Remove existing flooring materials and prepare surfaces.
- Measure, cut and stage flooring materials under supervision.
- Operate hand and power tools safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
- Follow company safety policies and site-specific safety requirements.
- Work collaboratively with installers, supervisors and other construction trades.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is considered an asset.
- Previous construction or labour experience is an asset but not required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting and carrying flooring materials.
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn.
- Reliable transportation to job sites is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
