Maintenance Manager

Job Description:

Rodd Crowbush Golf & Beach Resort is seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Manager to lead the resort’s maintenance operations and ensure the property is maintained to the highest standards of safety, quality, and guest satisfaction.

Immediate Supervisor: General Manager

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the Maintenance Department, ensuring efficient and proactive maintenance practices
• Oversee and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on all resort facilities and equipment, including HVAC, boiler, electrical, plumbing, and grouting
• Complete repairs and maintenance related to drywall, painting, carpentry, flooring, and wallpaper
• Maintain maintenance logs, inventories, and departmental supplies
• Obtain quotations and manage purchasing in accordance with company policies
• Develop and coordinate maintenance schedules with the General Manager and other departments
• Communicate room status updates and maintenance issues with Front Desk and Housekeeping departments
• Complete general cleaning duties and grounds work such as picking up and taking out garbage, cigarette butts, removing snow and ice
• Ensure the swimming pool is maintained in compliance with Health and Safety regulations
• Respond to guest requests in a friendly and timely manner
• Ensure compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety standards and regulations
• Participate in on-call duties as required and perform other related responsibilities as assigned

Key Qualifications and Requirements:

• Previous hotel, resort, or building facility maintenance experience preferred
• Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to lead, train, and supervise a small team
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, carpentry, and building maintenance systems
• Pool maintenance experience
• Proficient in the safe operation of hand and power tools
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
• Ability to perform heavy physical work
