Job Description:

Rising Tide EVs Inc. is a vibrant new company (June 2022), so everyone has opportunities to gain experience in different aspects of the business over time.

That said, here are some of the initial responsibilities for this starting position:

  • Helping our customers have a positive experience;
  • Bike Rental Manager system and our cloud-based tour management system, Bokun);
  • Managing customer expectations for pick-up and/or delivery.
  • Providing basic instruction
  • Management of staff/scheduling
  • Ensuring store is looking it’s best for customers
  • Social media, Marketing and advertising,
  • Advising owner of issues and opportunities and proposing solutions
  • Other duties as required.

About You

We’re looking for someone who agrees that anything worth doing is worth doing well.  You’re comfortable and relaxed talking to strangers and demonstrate excellent English language proficiently.  French and other language skills are a definite asset!  We strive to be authentic and welcoming to everyone who visits our store or calls us.

You’re proactive. As you learn the ropes, we’ll expect you to be able to work with greater independence and in fact, lead other staff by example. Everyone is expected to look for opportunities where we can maximize our contributions in our respective roles without necessarily waiting for direction. We de-emphasize traditional management and instead rely on a framework that is largely self-directed. We’re looking for someone comfortable making decisions independently and speaking up to call out something not working well (from your perspective), even if it involves the BOSS!

You’re organized & punctual. We hold ourselves accountable to our customers and one another, so we always do our best to keep our commitments.

Experience with bikes or e-bikes is asset, as there will be some hands-on responsibilities. That said, the other qualities above are far more important to us. Everything e-bike-related can be taught.

Education:

  • Graduate from or attending university or community college in business, commence, marketing, communications, recreation/tourism or similar programs.  Other people may be considered if previous experience is relevant.

Pay: $19.00 – $20.00 per hour, depending on experience
