Job Title: 2 – 4 Year Electrical Apprentice
Red Sands Plumbing & Electric is seeking a 2 to 4 year Electrical Apprentice to join our team. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of electrical installation, repair, and maintenance tasks at various job sites around Charlottetown and surrounding areas.
This position would work alongside our current Red Seal Electrician(s).
Job Type: Full-time
Job Location: Charlottetown, PEI
Salary: $22 – $27 per hour, based on experience
Job type: Permanent with 6-month probation period, company benefits after 6-months
Vacation: 4% vacation pay
Mileage: paid when using personal vehicle for work
To be considered for this position, on your application, indicate if you are a registered apprentice in good standing with the Provincial Apprenticeship Program, and also have the necessary qualifications and certifications to work as an electrician in Prince Edward Island. You must also live on PEI and be able to pass a criminal background check. You must also possess a valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and components at various job sites
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and other technical documents
- Follow all safety regulations and standards
- Maintain accurate records of work performed
- Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and supervisors
Qualifications:
- Necessary qualifications and certifications to work as an electrician in Prince Edward Island
- Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Clean criminal record
- Valid driver’s license
