Position Summary
The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting guests in finding products, maintaining store cleanliness and organization, and ensuring every visitor leaves with a smile (and maybe a jar of jam or two). This role involves both front-of-house service and behind-the-scenes support like stocking, packaging, and assisting with gift orders.
Daily Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
- Assist customers with product questions, recommendations, and gift ideas.
- Restock shelves and displays to ensure products are organized and fully stocked.
- Package purchases, including gift boxes and specialty orders.
- Support online order fulfillment when needed.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and welcoming store environment.
- Handle customer concerns with professionalism and positivity.
- Work collaboratively with the team to meet daily sales and service goals.
- Lift, carry, and move heavy boxes of product (up to 40 lbs) regularly.
- Move stock between different areas of the building, including going up and down stairs multiple times a day.
- Replenish product quickly and efficiently during peak customer hours.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift and carry heavy boxes, and navigate stairs multiple times daily.
- Comfortable working on your feet in a busy retail setting.
- Flexibility to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
