Gardener / Groundskeeper

Job Description:

The PEI Preserve Company is looking for a Gardener / Groundskeeper to join our team. This person would be responsible for maintaining the outdoor spaces and the overall appearance of the property. This role ensures that the gardens, lawns and surrounding grounds are kept clean and well maintained for all guests. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Perform regular weeding of garden beds, walkways and other landscaped areas
• Cut & maintain grass using mowers and other landscaping equipment
• Assist with planting, watering and care of flowers, plants and greenery
• Carry out general property maintenance and repairs as needed
• Remove any debris or fallen branches from the grounds
• Trim hedges, shrubs, and trees to maintain a neat appearance
• Operate and maintain landscaping tools and equipment safely
• Supporting seasonal tasks such as spring/fall clean up and preparation for the season

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in gardening, landscaping, or groundskeeping is an asset
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including heavy lifting and working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Basic knowledge of plants, lawn care, and landscaping techniques
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
• Reliable and punctual
• Capable of lifting up to 50lbs
