Student Tour Guide:
- Compensation $17 per hour (plus 8% vacation pay)
- Start Date: Immediately
- End Date September 12, 2026 – 12 weeks
Elmira Railway Museum, one of the seven sites operated by the PEI Museum and Heritage Foundation, is seeking a Student Tour Guide. Duties include:
- Delivering professional quality interpretation
- Welcoming visitors, leading tours and explaining the historic significance of cultural and material objects
- Promoting the Museum through its social media presence
- Other related duties as assigned
Related Tasks:
- Use the POS system to sell admission tickets and items in the gift shop
- Help with upkeep of the building and equipment, including light cleaning duties
Assets:
- Friendly and outgoing
- Have an interest in history
- Able to work outside in the heat
- Experience working with the public
- Customer service experience
