Position Summary:

PEI Agromart Ltd. is currently seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Fertilizer Operations Team Member to join our operations team. This is a hands-on role supporting the day-to-day functions of our fertilizer facility, including product handling, blending, and general yard work. The successful candidate will be reliable, physically fit, and eager to work in a fast-paced agricultural environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to team goals and positive workplace culture
  • Load and unload fertilizer products from trucks, vessels, and equipment
  • Operate blending and packaging equipment under supervision
  • Bag and stack fertilizer for shipping or storage
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the facility and yard areas
  • Assist with basic equipment checks, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures
  • Support inventory management and product labeling
  • Perform other general labor tasks as assigned by the supervisor or lead hand
  • Complete product deliveries onsite and to customer locations

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in English. Must be able to read, write, receive instruction and communicate in English.
  • Experience in agriculture, warehousing, or industrial operations is an asset
  • Class 1 or 3 drivers license is a strong asset. Willing to train a committed team player.
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 25 kg repeatedly
  • Willingness to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends during peak seasons
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-minded
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Experience operating forklifts or skid steers is considered an asset (training available)
  • Preferred Certifications (Not Required):
  • Forklift Operator Certification
  • First Aid / CPR
  • High School, College / University Education in a relatable field
