Accessible Transportation Driver

Job Description:

Make a difference in your community by helping Islanders get where they need to go safely and comfortably.

We are looking for compassionate, dependable drivers to provide accessible transportation to clients with mobility challenges throughout Prince Edward Island. Drivers operate wheelchair-accessible and stretcher-equipped vehicles and provide respectful assistance to clients when boarding, travelling, and disembarking.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in providing excellent service, and understands the importance of patience, dignity, and reliability.

Hours of Work
Full-time and part-time positions are available. Schedules will vary based on client and operational needs and may involve different days and hours from week to week. Flexibility in availability is an important part of this position.

Requirements

• Valid PEI Class 4 or higher driver’s licence
• Clean driver’s abstract
• First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain
• Ability to assist passengers with wheelchairs and other mobility equipment
• The successful candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check as a condition of employment.
