We aren’t just renting bikes; we are selling the best day of someone’s vacation. As our Rental Specialist (and ideally Guide), you will be the face of the shop.
You’ll spend your mornings getting guests fitted on the perfect ride and your afternoons leading them through the best trails and hidden gems our area has to offer.
Duties:
- Customer Experience: Greet guests, manage reservations, and provide expert recommendations on bike sizing and local routes.
- Guiding: Lead group tours with a focus on safety, local history, and—most importantly—fun. (please still apply if your not comfortable guiding)
- Technical Basics: Perform “safety checks” on the fleet (adjusting seats, checking tire pressure, indexing gears) and basic trail side repairs.
- Fleet Management: Maintain a clean, organized shop and ensure all rental equipment is sanitized and ready for the next adventure.
- Safety First: Brief all guests on local cycling laws and equipment operation.
What you should bring to the table
- The “Cycle-Sense”: Deep knowledge of bicycle types (e-bikes, road, gravel) and a genuine passion for the sport.
- People Skills: You can talk to anyone, from a pro cyclist to someone who hasn’t been on a bike in twenty years.
- Cool Under Pressure: Whether it’s a busy Saturday morning or a flat mid-tour, you stay calm and helpful.
- Local Knowledge: You know the best coffee stops, the steepest climbs, and the safest paths.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in bike retail or a rental environment.
- First Aid/CPR Certification (essential for guiding).
- Basic mechanical skills (fixing flats, brake adjustments and light tune ups).
