Red Seal Glazier

Job Description:

The Red Seal Glazier is responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing commercial glass and glazing systems, working closely with foremen, project managers, contractors, and site teams to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to project specifications.

 Key Responsibilities

• Install, replace, and repair commercial glass and glazing systems
• Install storefronts, curtain wall systems, aluminum framing, entrances, and related components
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
• Prepare surfaces and framing for installation, including cleaning, sealing, and alignment
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, lifts, and hoisting equipment
• Troubleshoot installation issues and complete adjustments or repairs as required
• Collaborate with foremen, project managers, contractors, and other trades
• Maintain a clean and safe job site in compliance with safety regulations

Qualifications

• Red Seal certification in Glazing
• Proven commercial glazing experience
• Strong knowledge of glazing systems, installation methods, and safety practices
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficiency with hand and power tools used in glazing
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to travel to project sites as required

Details

• Salary Range: $38.00–$44.00 per hour
• 4% vacation pay
• Full-time, Permanent
• Location: Prince Edward Island
• Travel to project sites may be required
