Job Description:

Our client is a growing manufacturing organization specializing in contract manufacturing, bottling, and packaging solutions within a regulated production environment. We are seeking a Quality Control Technician to support quality operations through inspections, testing, documentation, and compliance with GMP, food safety, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform quality testing on raw materials, packaging materials, in-process products, and finished goods, including: pH, Brix, weight verification, label checks, moisture, and water activity testing
  • Complete quality checks and approvals for incoming materials and finished products
  • Support product release activities and maintain retain samples
  • Review and document testing results accurately
  • Identify and control non-conforming products and support corrective actions
  • Complete quality records in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Monitor production, packaging, and warehouse areas for GMP compliance
  • Support sanitation verification, environmental monitoring, and equipment verification activities

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or related field
  • Experience with Quality Control or Quality Assurance processes in a GMP manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety practices is an asset
  • Experience in food, pharmaceutical, natural health products, or regulated manufacturing is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems is an asset

Working Conditions

  • 12-hour shifts, including days and nights
  • Manufacturing environment requiring standing and walking for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • PPE required
