Position Overview:
The Labourer will support day-to-day operations on job sites, assisting skilled trades, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Execution: Perform concrete foundation preparation and finishing work, structural framing, window and door installation, and high-end interior and exterior finishing carpentry
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to designated work areas without damage
- Site Preparation: Assist with site setup, including building and dismantling temporary structures such as scaffolding, ramps, and barricades when required
- Construction Support: Assist other tradespersons as needed and collaborate to complete project tasks efficiently
- Equipment Use: Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment as required
- General Labour Duties: Perform tasks such as measuring, cutting, leveling, and assembling materials to specification
- Clean-Up: Remove debris, maintain a clean job site, and ensure materials are properly stored
- Digital Reporting: Use the Workforce app for daily clock-ins/outs and task tracking
- Compliance: Maintain active location services for geofencing accuracy while on job sites
- Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant workspace at all times
Qualifications
- Previous construction or labour experience is an asset.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy materials
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required)
