Business Development Specialist (Property Management – In Person)

If so, you might be our next Business Development Specialist.

ROLE

  • You are responsible for generating leads and following up on sales opportunities to set appointments and move prospects through the sales process.
  • You will work primarily through phone calls, in-person meetings, and networking, as well as email and SMS.
  • You will conduct sales appointments, communicate with our leadership team, and build long-term relationships with clients.
  • You will actively find and connect with leads, attend scheduled appointments (both in-person and via Zoom), and consistently follow up to nurture prospects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research & attend in-person networking events to make connections with our target audience
  • Attend daily sales huddles & submit end-of-day sales reports
  • Stay on top of all follow-up tasks in the CRM
  • Work through the sales process and close deals
  • Work independently and perform under pressure
  • Build strong client relationships
  • Listen to clients’ needs & provide tailored solutions
  • Meet or exceed company sales targets
  • Identify, generate, and call through sales leads
  • Follow up on no-shows to get them rescheduled
  • Follow up on existing prospects to ensure they are moving through the pipeline
  • Cold call prospects to identify strong fits and book appointments
  • Data entry of leads into the CRM and keep it organized

RESULTS (EXPECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS)

  • Generate many calls through outbound and organic methods, including:
  • Facebook groups and online communities
  • Cold calling
  • Referral partners (realtors, insurance agents, mortgage brokers, etc.)
  • Following up with past and inbound leads
  • Bring in high-quality, long-term clients with strong retention
  • Keep CRM inbox clean with prompt follow-ups
  • Communicate daily with the sales manager
  • Provide daily reporting of metrics
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline and calendar full of sales appointments

REQUIREMENTS

  • Professional appearance and communication
  • Loves connecting with people
  • Previous experience in sales or appointment setting
  • Real estate or property management experience is a plus
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong negotiation abilities
  • Ability to build solid, long-term relationships
  • Highly driven with a focus on results

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS (IN-PERSON ROLE)

  • Must be based in or near Charlottetown
  • This is an in-person role based in downtown Charlottetown
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
  • Must be able to attend meetings, property visits, and networking events regularly

POSITION DETAILS

  • Hours: Full-time (30-35 hours per week)
  • Compensation: (bonus after probation period)
  • Workplace: In-person (Downtown Charlottetown)
  • Start date: ASAP
