We are currently seeking aย Housekeeping / Cleaner to join our team and support our seasonal operations.ย This position would be full time to the middle of November, with possibility of part time work from November to April.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Farm Manager, the cleaner is responsible for overall housekeeping of the farm facilities

  • Clean and maintain bunkhouse accommodations, including bathrooms, kitchens, dining areas, and common spaces.
  • Ensure all facilities are kept clean, sanitary, and presentable at all times.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces in accordance with established cleaning standards.
  • Empty garbage and recycling containers and ensure proper waste disposal.
  • Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other housekeeping materials as needed.
  • Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and repair requirements to the Farm Manager.
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
  • Assist with seasonal deep-cleaning projects and the preparation of accommodations for incoming and departing employees.
  • Support the upkeep of farm offices and other designated facilities as required.
  • Perform other housekeeping and cleaning duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform physically demanding work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 lbs (11 kg) on a regular basis.
  • Ability to move cleaning equipment, supplies, and materials safely.
  • Ability to climb stairs and work in various areas of bunkhouses, offices, and farm facilities.
  • Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working around cleaning chemicals and using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
    Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and quality standards.

Other Requirements

  • Secondary School Diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of Work Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) requirements, including the ability to read, understand, and follow WHMIS labels, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and safe handling procedures for hazardous materials and chemicals.
  • Previous cleaning, janitorial, or housekeeping experience is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Reliable, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to follow workplace health and safety procedures.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.
