Full-Time Position with Salary Range Starting at $32.00 per hour, 37.5 hours per week**

Whatโ€™s the Job?

As Fund Development & Strategic Partnership Manager, a member of the senior leadership team, reporting to the Executive Director, you are responsible for leading IRSAโ€™s funding development strategy. You will identify cultivate, solicit, and steward donors, foundations, corporations, and government funding partners. The ideal candidate will lead proactive grant sourcing and proposal development, build strong donor relationships, and support the long-term sustainability of IRSAโ€™s mission, programs, services, and strategic initiatives.

Mores specifically, you will be responsible for the following:

Donor Network Development (Individual & Corporate)

  • Build and manage a portfolio of major prospects and potential donors.
  • Develop and implement cultivation and solicitation strategies.
  • Conduct research and prepare briefing notes.
  • Deliver a compelling case for donor support, aligned with IRSA priorities.
  • Track engagements and maintain accurate donor records.
  • Develop stewardship plans to ensure long-term donor engagement.

Grant Sourcing, Writing & Management

  • Research and identify funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government programs.
  • Lead high-quality grant proposal development.
  • Develop a grant calendar and manage reporting deadlines.
  • Produce accurate interim and final funder reports.
  • Monitor trends in settlement, social impact, and related funding sectors.

Relationship Building & External Engagement

  • Represent IRSA at community events and funder meetings.
  • Build strong relationships with donors and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate internally to align funding proposals with clear organizational need.

Strategic Contribution

  • Lead the development of IRSAโ€™s fund development strategy.
  • Contribute to revenue forecasting.
  • Provide insights on philanthropic and major donor sector trends
  • Guide the organization on the use of innovative technologies such as AI to advance efficient fund development processes.

Communications & Donor Materials

  • Prepare consistent, current, high-quality donor-facing materials.
  • Collaborate with staff on appropriate messaging and donor recognition.

This role collaborates across IRSA departments and builds and maintain strong viable relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote IRSAโ€™s vision, mission and core values as well as the above listed priorities.

What skills or qualifications will help me succeed?ย 

We require you to have a post-secondary degree or diploma in Public Policy, Social Sciences, or a related discipline, with 2-5 years experience in role (or an equivalent combination of education, training and work experience) with a track record of securing significant contributions to be considered for this role.

The ideal candidate also possesses a unique blend of hard and soft skills to meet role success.

  • Strong grant writing and proposal development skills
  • Excellent networking, interpersonal and cross-cultural communication
  • Strong project management skills and deadline management

  • Non-Profit, Government or Social Service sector experience.
  • Knowledge of fundraising best practices and ethics, with a donor focused mindset
  • Results oriented and resilient, high level of accountability and transparency in their work
  • Agile thinker, who introduces new solutions to problems and sees opportunity in new process
