Why Join IRSA?

You’ll have an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of newcomers, enriching our communities through programming or case management supports, while having fun and joining a team of like-minded individuals in the process!

For all that work, you’ll also be compensated with:

  • Market Competitive Wages

What’s the Job?

As DIVERSECITY Event Support Worker, your primary focus will be to help support and ensure the safe delivery of the annual multi-site DIVERSECITY events across Prince Edward Island including but not limited to venue, catering, vendors, AV & technical set up, clean up, volunteers and other duties as delegated by the reporting Manager.

You will be one of the primary on site contacts for staff, volunteers, vendors & performers at all event sites delivering the DIVERSECITY festival across various PEI Communities during the Months of June, July & August. You will collaborate with vendors and performers to ensure a positive experience for our guests, and that the delivery of expected event and service standards are met.

DIVERSECITY was created in 2007 and has evolved steadily since its inception. Originally, planners envisioned a range of interactive activities, for all ages and cultures, with the hope that celebration and education would lead to new Canadians’ increased comfort in their communities. This has bloomed into an island-wide festival, with representation from over fifty countries in a variety of artistic and interactive displays, including performance, art, and culinary sampling.

This role collaborates across departments to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote IRSA’s vision, mission, and core values.
