Kitchen Worker
Term Position, September 14, 2026 – April 23, 2027

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Tourism and Culinary Centre requires a Kitchen Worker to provide general cleaning and support for the kitchens. This position primarily works the 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. shift. The successful candidate will:

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware using dishwasher
• Scour pots and pans using pot washer and by hand
• Place dishes in storage areas
• Clean, scrub, and sanitize all equipment surfaces such as ovens, fridges, and freezers
• Collect, empty, and stack service trays
• Wash kitchen walls
• Empty and sanitize garbage containers
• Observe Waste Watch guidelines
• Observe safety precautions while on duty and report any potential hazards to supervisor
• Utilize safety equipment where required to meet recommendations of manufacturer and abide by WHMIS standards
• Other related duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

• Completion of Grade 12 or recognized equivalent is preferred
• Working knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment
• Ability to perform physical tasks including moderate to heavy lifting

• pay attention to details
• be flexible and cooperative
• promote positive interpersonal and communication skills
• WHMIS and Serve Safe training would be an asset
