Job Description:

Class 1A & 3A Truck Drivers

GIP Island Construction Limited located in Charlottetown, PEI is currently seeking tandem dump truck drivers and tractor trailer drivers for our summer construction season.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Drive tandem truck or live bottom/dump trailer in a safe and professional manner hauling asphalt and gravel materials to various job sites on the Island
  • Responsible for daily pre and post trip inspections.
  • Communicate effectively with Dispatcher and job foreman.
  • Keep company property clean and in good working order while reporting mechanical issues to shop foremen
  • Ensure a safe work environment for yourself and co-workers and comply with all highway safety policies, as well as company safety policies and procedures.

Requirements for Candidates

  • Valid Class 1A or Class 3A drivers license with ability to drive manual transmission trucks
  • Follow safe work practices and abide by all safety rules and regulations.
