Job Description:

The Restaurant Server is responsible for providing prompt, professional, and friendly service to guests while ensuring an excellent dining experience. This role includes taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized service area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests promptly and courteously
  • Present menus and explain specials or promotions
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately
  • Provide recommendations and answer questions about menu items
  • Ensure guests have a positive and enjoyable dining experience
  • Address guest concerns professionally and escalate when required
  • Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure orders are accurate and presented properly
  • Monitor tables and attend to guest needs throughout the meal
  • Clear and reset tables efficiently
  • Process payments accurately (cash, debit, credit)
  • Operate POS system efficiently
  • Handle bills and provide change where required
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all food safety and hygiene standards
  • Ensure tables, service stations, and dining areas are clean and presentable
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures
  • Set up and restock service areas
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff

Qualifications:

  • Previous serving or customer service experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Basic math skills
