Job Description:
The position of Housekeeper is essential in maintaining smooth hotel operations. The Housekeeping department is responsible for ensuring that guest rooms and public areas are clean and properly presented. As representatives of the hotel, housekeepers must promote a positive image of the property to guests, and must be pleasant, friendly and able to address problems or special requests.
Tasks & Responsibilities
General
- Inventorying, stocking and organizing supplies
- Vacuuming carpets, polishing furniture, dusting, removing marks from walls and furniture
- Cleaning guest rooms and other guest-facing areas
- Make beds, change sheets and replenish and refresh hotel room amenities
- Deliver and retrieve items on loan to guests
- Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests
- Clean bathrooms
- Remove trash, and room service items
- Check that all appliances are present in the room and in working order
- Straighten desk and replenish promotional items
- Other duties as assigned

- Maintain professional image and personality exuding confidence while encouraging safe and efficient operations.

- Help other team members if needed
- Contribute to a positive working environment both in front of guests and when interacting with co-workers
- Effectively refers to Housekeeping Supervisor when needed
