Office Administrator/Drug & Alcohol Collection Technician

Wage/Salary: $23.00 per hour.

Schedule: 15 to 20hrs/wk—*additional hours possible depending on weekly workflow.

Founded in 2009, SCTMS draws upon proprietor Dave Harris’ 50+ years of transportation industry experience to provide top-tier health and safety training for our clientele of aspiring and experienced professionals in the trucking sector and beyond.

Job Description: SCTMS has an immediate need for a permanent, part-time, professionally minded office administrator to oversee the scheduling of driver medical examinations, immunization appointments, First Aid/AED classes, etc. The successful candidate will also assist Mr. Harris and SCTMS staff in the management of office logistics. Lastly, while previous screening/testing experience is an asset, the employer will provide alcohol and drug collection technician training to the preferred applicant if need be.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

  • Greet & engage SCTMS clients in person, by phone & via email.
  • Excellent communication and clerical skills.
  • Adept at scheduling client medical exam appointments, employer training requests, etc.
  • Able to track & order office supplies as required.
  • Fluency in English is a must, though bilingual skills are an asset.
  • Previous experience in drug and alcohol collection/screening—or willingness to commit to compliance training to become a certified SCTMS D&A tester.
  • Competency in MS Windows & Office including: Excel, PowerPoint, Word & Outlook.
