Safety & Compliance Training & Medical Services Inc. is growing again! Founded in 2009, SCTMS draws upon proprietor Dave Harris’ 50+ years of transportation industry experience to provide top-tier health and safety training for our clientele of aspiring and experienced professionals in the trucking sector and beyond. SCTMS is also the island’s first call for a range of supporting services from driver medical examinations to employer-required immunization programs to both pre and present employment drug and alcohol testing.
As a recognized Canadian Red Cross First AID/CPR AED training provider, SCTMS offers professionally delivered, workplace-focused, staff certification/recertification to employers of all sizes.
Given the growing demand for our First Aid/CPR training services, we have an immediate opening for a dedicated, part time, certified Canadian Red Cross Instructor.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Canadian Red Cross FIRST AID/CPR AED instructor certification—or willingness to commit to training to earn CRC certification.
- Previous experience in drug and alcohol collection/screening—or willingness to commit to compliance training to become a certified SCTMS D&A tester.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to adapt training methods to diverse audiences.
- Certification or formal training in adult education or instructional techniques is a plus.
- Fluency in English is a must, though bilingual skills are an asset.
- Competency in MS Windows & Office including: Excel, PowerPoint, Word & Outlook.
