About the Opportunity

Cymbria Campground & RV Park is hiring a Summer Student Grounds Assistant for the 2026 season. This Summer Student position is ideal for students seeking outdoor work experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, campground maintenance, and general property upkeep. This is a seasonal position from May 18 to August 31, 2026.

Located on PEI’s North Shore, approximately a 25-minute drive from Charlottetown, this family-owned campground welcomes guests from across Canada, the U.S., and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

• Lawn and campsite maintenance (mowing, trimming, basic landscaping)
• Cleaning washrooms, recreation areas, and public spaces
• Firewood splitting and delivery
• Garbage, recycling, and compost collection
• Swimming pool maintenance (training provided)
• Assist with basic repairs and general grounds maintenance
• Support seasonal projects and daily operations
• Operate tools and equipment safely (training provided)

Qualifications

• Must be a post-secondary student returning to school in Fall 2026 (minimum one year completed)
• Minimum 6 months of related experience required (campground, groundskeeping, landscaping, maintenance, or outdoor labour)
• Fluent English communication skills required; French not required
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual labour and lifting
• Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
• Friendly and outgoing; enjoys interacting with guests
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required
• Experience with landscaping equipment, chainsaw, or carpentry is an asset
