We are seeking a skilled Line Cook / Prep Cook to support the Copper Bottom Brewing team by supporting day-to-day kitchen operations. The Line Cook / Prep Cook will work closely with the Kitchen Manager to ensure the smooth execution of kitchen activities. The Line Cook will perform various kitchen tasks with guidance and training. Multi-tasking, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail are paramount. The Line Cook / Prep Cook must know all OH&S standards defined by the province. Copper Bottom’s overall appearance of food is a primary responsibility of this position.
- Prep and prepare essential components of each dish on the menu using our proven recipes.
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Memorize and follow SOPs to utilize our serving portion sizes and all basic meal prep procedures used in the kitchen.
- Ensure the kitchen, food prep, and storage areas meet restaurant cleaning standards.
- Work with a team of cooks to do portion prep work for other shifts when needed.
- Assist in reporting product freshness and rotating out old products based on a schedule created by the restaurant.
- Ability to work on your feet for eight hours a day.

- Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent verbal communication and organization skills
- Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds regularly
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Ensure all food items are prepared on time
- Other duties as assigned by the Head Chef
- Assist with menu development
- Being an everyday ambassador for delicious CBB food and beer.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a cook in the food service industry
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Culinary school diploma preferred
