What we’re looking for

The Senior Accountant will bring expertise, innovation, and passion to our growing organization. Reporting to our Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Accountant plays a key role in managing the day-to-day accounting responsibilities for both Cudmore Group and our retail brands. Our Senior Accountant thrives in small-to medium-sized businesses and enjoys wearing multiple hats.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and review the full-cycle accounting activities, including Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and General Ledger.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of monthly and year-end financial reporting.
  • File monthly GST & HST returns.
  • Perform accounting reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Support cash flow management, budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Assist with inventory accounting and Fixed Asset tracking.
  • Support management with financial analysis and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Run biweekly payroll.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in small-to medium-sized enterprises.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in retail sales is an asset.
  • The ideal candidate must be practical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
