Job Description:

Coastal Culture is looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented Embroidery Machine Operator to join our Production team! Our Embroidery Machine Operators work with precision to keep our retail stores stocked with stylish garments, while fostering our core values of Passion, Teamwork, Integrity, and Excellence.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Setting up the workstation and calibrating the multi-head embroidery machines at the beginning of each shift.
  • Working together with your team to maintain a clean and organized workspace while operating the machines safely.
  • Interpreting work orders to program the design into the multi-head embroidery machines.
  • Selecting the right materials and thread colours to use for each design.
  • Hooping different types of textiles and clothing items such as shirts, hoodies, polos, and hats.
  • Troubleshooting common problems such as broken threads and bobbin errors.
  • Performing regular and preventative maintenance on the embroidery machines.

On your application, we’ll be looking for the following qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education.
  • Basic math and spelling skills.
  • 1+ years of embroidery, sewing, or machine operating experience.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Able to safely lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Comfortable performing repetitive tasks and performing duties in a combination of positions including sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
