NOW HIRING: Facilities & Maintenance Worker

LOCATION: Centennial Auto Group – Primarily PEI locations

HOURS: Full Time, permanent, 40 -45 hours per week (some flexibility required).

COMPENSATION: $19.00 – $24.00 per hour, plus benefits (negotiable based on skills and experience).

THE PERFECT FIT:

We’re looking for a dependable, hands-on individual to join our team and help keep everything running smoothly. As our General Maintenance Worker, you’ll perform a wide variety of routine and preventative maintenance tasks with other team members to ensure our buildings, grounds, and equipment stay in excellent condition. If you’re a practical, get-it-done person who takes pride in maintaining a clean and safe workplace, we’d love to hear from you!

APPLICABLE SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in general maintenance, facilities upkeep, construction, or a related hands-on role (preferred but not always required, we will train the right person)
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and/or HVAC systems
  • Overhead door experience considered an asset
  • Comfortable using common hand tools, power tools, and ladders
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good physical condition – able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, kneel, climb, and work in various weather conditions (if outdoor work applies)
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (preferred / required if travel or company vehicle use is involved)
  • Safety-conscious mindset and commitment to following health & safety protocols
  • Availability for occasional on-call / after-hours emergency response (if applicable)

JOB TASKS:

  • Performing minor repairs in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building systems
  • Conducting routine maintenance on HVAC, lighting, doors, locks, windows, and fixtures
  • Handling basic troubleshooting and repairs on equipment and machinery
  • Performing general cleaning, groundskeeping, snow removal (seasonal), and waste management as needed
  • Installing or replacing basic equipment, shelves, bulletin boards, or hardware
  • Responding to maintenance requests and emergency calls in a timely manner
  • Maintaining accurate records of work performed, materials used, and issues resolved
  • Operating hand tools, power tools, and light machinery safely
  • Assisting with larger projects or coordinating with licensed contractors when required
