Camp Gencheff – Support Worker Position

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of others? Camp Gencheff is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Support Workers to join our team. Our mission is to create safe, engaging, and fun experiences for children and adults with disabilities, and we need compassionate individuals to help make it happen!

Position: Support Worker
Location: Camp Gencheff
Hourly Wage: Starting at $17.00-$19.00, compensation is based on skills and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated support to up to 3 clients, helping them participate in and enjoy daily activities.
  • Follow structured daily program plans, keeping clients active, engaged, and challenged while maintaining a safe environment.
  • Assist with personal care and dietary needs when required, including lifting and transferring clients.
  • Ensure an enjoyable and interactive experience, helping clients feel welcomed and valued.
  • Maintain cleanliness in designated areas and follow all Camp Gencheff policies.
  • Participate in administrative tasks as needed and work collaboratively within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications:

  • Clear Criminal Background Check (Vulnerable Sector).
  • Must be over 18 years of age.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certifications.
  • Experience working with children or adults with disabilities is a plus, but not required.
  • Students or recent graduates in Child and Youth Care, Education, Human Services, Psychology, Nursing, or related fields are encouraged to apply, though all are welcome.
  • Compassion for vulnerable individuals and a desire to make a positive impact.
