Food Processing Supervisor

Job Description:

This is a seasonal job suited to a person returning to school in the fall. Only full time students will be considered. The worker will be required to work on a a food processing line doing a varity of tasks including bagging and stacking ice, removing packing materials from frozen palletized products and assiting delivery drivers. Must be able to work in a varitey of temperatures – some of the work is in a cool environment.  This position is physically demanding with lifting and bending. You must be able to lift at least 30 pounds.

This person will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Material handling
• Transporting packing materials and waste through the plant
• Safe disposal of food processing wastes
• Feed and unload processing machines
• Clean work areas and equipment, assist other operators with duties
• Check products and packaging for basic quality defects
• Remove filled/completed containers/bundles from conveyors or equipment
• Feed flattened boxes or materials into forming machines
• Other duties as assigned

Physical demands:

• Standing for long periods
• Handling material manually
• Bending or twisting the body
• Making repetitive motions

*Only full time students will be considered due to position funding requirements.
