Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Description:

The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating a variety of equipment on our work sites.

REPORTS TO:

This position reports to the Maintenance Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operating heavy equipment including but not limited to: Skid steer, bulldozer, backhoe, septic pump truck and excavator.
• Safety Compliance
• Equipment Maintenance
• Work site preparation which may include clearing debris, leveling terrain, and digging
• Material handling, loading and unloading materials
• Grade and Excavation work
• Documentation – Keeping accurate records such as equipment usage, maintenance logs and safety inspections.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Class 3 with Airbrake
• 5+ years’ experience
• Proven ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Safe lifting (up to 50 lbs), kneeling, pushing, pulling and stretching are all required.
• Must have reliable transportation.
