About the Role

The Programming Employee is responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising activities that support the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of children and youth enrolled in BGC Prince County programs. The successful candidate will serve as a positive role model, foster an inclusive and welcoming environment, and contribute to the overall success of our programs through teamwork, creativity, and strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise children and youth participating in BGC Prince County programs.
  • Create and lead engaging activities that encourage learning, personal growth, and    positive social development.
  • Ensure a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for all members.
  • Build positive relationships with children, youth, families, and coworkers.
  • Act as a positive role model while promoting respect, inclusion, and healthy choices.
  • Support participants in developing confidence, life skills, and a sense of belonging.
  • Apply effective behaviour management strategies and respond appropriately to incidents when required.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and program documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to coordinate daily programming and activities.
  • Ensure program spaces, equipment, and facilities remain clean, organized, and safe.
  • Follow all organizational policies and health and safety requirements.
  • Assist with light facility maintenance and operational duties as required.
