Becks Home Furniture and Appliances is currently seeking a full time Delivery / Warehouse person to join our team. As an integral member of our team, you are responsible for the careful loading and unloading of delivery trucks, driving the delivery truck, furniture assembly, providing professional, efficient service to our customers and working with other departments to ensure a positive overall customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Moving and lifting of product
- Delivering product into customer’s homes
- Build and assemble furniture
- Unload trailers and organize stock
- Deal with accumulated garbage (packaging / cardboard)
What are we looking for?
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy furniture / appliances on a regular basis (50 to 100 pounds regularly) and provide an efficient, safe and delivery experience for our customers
- Excellent communication skills
- Good time management and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Mindful of safe material handling procedures and techniques
- Must have a valid driver’s License (more than 5 years) with a clean Drivers Abstract
- WHMIS and First Aid are an asset.
Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Starting at $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Monday to Saturday 8:30-5pm
