Job Description:

In order to ensure that our properties are taken care of and residents are provided with the living environment that they deserve, we’re looking for a PART-TIME BUILDING CLEANER in Charlottetown.

As a member of the Operations Team, this permanent position will likely evolve into a full-time position, but over the next 12 months this individual will be responsible for the general cleaning of one 75-unit apartment building in Charlottetown and periodic unit cleanings.

ROLE:

  • To embody Arsenault Properties’ core values and represent the company to all residents, vendors, stakeholders, and the community.
  • To monitor, inspect, and clean a multi-property portfolio.
  • To treat residential properties as their own, and to ensure the quality of living is maintained to the highest standard.

RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to):

  • Inspect the interior/exterior premises for cleanliness, and correct any immediate issues.
  • Follow a daily cleaning checklist, which will include the cleaning of all common hallways, lounges, fitness rooms, elevators, lobbies, windows, doors, etc.
  • On an as-needed basis, clean the interior of vacant units.
  • Monitoring and purchasing cleaning product inventory.
  • Meet with Arsenault Properties operations team members on a frequent basis to provide updates, discuss challenges, etc.

  • A hard-working commitment to offering Arsenault Properties residents a clean and positive living atmosphere.
  • A minimum of 1-year custodial/cleaning experience in a similar setting.
  • Reliable transportation and reliable work attendance.
  • An eye for taking care of the small details.
  • A commitment to frequent, open, and honest communication.
  • A desire to work in and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • The ability to work a sometimes physically-demanding role.
  • Common sense and a positive attitude.
  • Strong, practical, and independent problem-solving skills.
  • Capacity to increase hours as the role expands.

COMPENSATION:

$20-$22 per hour – approx. 10-15 hours per week to start
Flexible hour structure; to be determined based on property demands and desired work schedule
