Salary: Starting from $47,000 (negotiable based on experience)

Agriculture in the Classroom PEI (AITC-PEI) is a charitable organization dedicated to connecting Island students with agriculture through innovative, experiential, curriculum-based programs and resources. We collaborate with the agriculture and education communities to develop engaging learning opportunities and hands-on outreach programs across Prince Edward Island.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Program Coordinator.
The Position: Program Coordinator
The primary role of the Program Coordinator is to plan, coordinate, and deliver a portfolio of educational outreach programs in an effective and efficient manner, aligned with the organization’s guiding principles and operational plan.
As part of the Programs team, the coordinator supports the Programs Manager, builds strong relationships with stakeholders, participates in promotional activities, and contributes to the successful delivery of AITC-PEI initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate all activities related to the successful delivery of AITC-PEI programs
• Recruit and engage volunteers and partner organizations
• Manage program logistics using the AITC-PEI Operations Management System (applications, scheduling, venues, meals, surveys, etc.)
• Build and maintain strong relationships with volunteers, educators, industry partners, and government representatives
• Evaluate program outcomes and recommend improvements
• Coordinate and deliver classroom presentations
• Complete administrative and organizational tasks
• Attend teacher conventions and promotional events
• Support additional programs and initiatives as required
• Represent AITC-PEI in a professional and positive manner within the community
The Ideal Candidate:
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with students, teachers, and stakeholders
• Experience in program or project coordination
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (travel within PEI required)
• Understanding of the PEI education system is an asset
• Background or experience in agriculture is an asset
• Diploma or degree in Agriculture, Education, or a related field is an asset
• Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset
This position is based in Charlottetown, PEI, with a combination of office and hybrid work depending on program needs. Reliable access to a computer and internet is required.
