Position Overview: 

We are looking for a versatile and reliable Pile Off to join our Packaging team at ADL Fitzroy. This is an entry-level, floater position responsible for supporting various packaging operations and ensuring production runs smoothly. The successful candidate will be trained across multiple workstations and will step in where needed to maintain workflow. This role requires adaptability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with operating various production and packaging equipment as required
  • Move and handle materials such as cans, trays, and packaging supplies to maintain production flow.
  • Ensure equipment is properly supplied and functioning during production shifts.
  • Support general production duties, including stacking, sorting, and staging products.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment during and after production.
  • Follow safety protocols and company procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Participate in training and skill development across different production areas.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or food production environment is preferred
  • Physically prepared for production work — including lifting, extended standing, and working in warm, humid conditions
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with team members and supervisors to support safe operations, proper material handling, and adherence to food safety protocols
  • Follows procedures exactly as required — every task performed with care, accuracy, and a clear understanding of its impact on product quality and team safety
  • Dependable and accountable — consistently present, properly equipped, and focused from start to finish
  • Adaptable across production areas — able to transition between departments and respond to changing operational needs
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment — tools, equipment, and materials are handled properly at all times
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
