Temporary Driver Sales 

Temporary Full-Time Position – ADL Alberton

Position Overview: 

We are seeking a Temporary Driver Sales to support delivery operations. This role is expected to run for approximately 6 months and is based out of the ADL Alberton dairy, where daily loading and unloading activities take place.

The Driver Sales is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient delivery of ADL products while maintaining strong service standards and customer relationships. This includes operating a company delivery truck, completing assigned routes, managing daily sales and inventory using handheld systems, and ensuring product quality through proper handling, rotation, and merchandising.

Location: ADL Alberton – 9 Central St, Alberton, PE C0B 1B0

Rate: $164.36 – $182.62 per day, plus commission once eligible

Work Environment and Schedule:

  • Physical work involving regular lifting, repetitive movement, and working in cold or refrigerated environments
  • Daily driving responsibilities with a strong emphasis on safety and defensive driving
  • Route-based delivery work with multiple stops and consistent customer interaction throughout the day
  • Wednesdays and Sundays as scheduled days off
  • Start times between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM, with variable end times based on route volume and operational needs
  • Occasional overtime or additional shifts may be required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete assigned delivery routes and ensure accurate, on-time deliveries
  • Operate the company truck safely and follow all driving and safety requirements
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any issues
  • Load and unload products safely while maintaining quality and accuracy
  • Verify deliveries using invoices and handheld systems, and resolve any discrepancies
  • Use handheld devices for orders, invoicing, and customer signatures
  • Collect payments when required and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • Rotate product at customer locations and remove damaged or outdated items
  • Complete required paperwork for returns, credits, and adjustments
  • Maintain proper product temperatures during transport and delivery
  • Keep the truck clean, organized, and ready for daily use
  • Communicate professionally with customers to ensure smooth and accurate service
  • Complete end-of-day reconciliation of product, cash, and reports
  • Assist with coverage or training as needed

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with a satisfactory driver’s abstract required
  • Experience in delivery or driver sales roles considered an asset
  • Ability to operate a delivery vehicle safely and confidently in all weather conditions
  • Strong attention to detail in product handling, invoicing, and cash reconciliation
  • Reliable and self-motivated, with a strong sense of accountability
  • Physically capable of lifting, pushing/pulling product, and being on your feet for extended periods
  • Able to work independently while representing ADL professionally with customers
