Prince Edward Island’s employment numbers increased to 89,900 persons (+1,800) when comparing August 2023 to July 2023. On a year-over-year basis, employment increased by 4,800 persons or 5.6% in July 2023. Over the same period, Canada’s employment increased by 2.5% or by 500,000. In Prince Edward Island, there was a year-over-year increase in persons employed full time (+8.6%) and a decrease in persons employed part time (-8.7%).
