Prince Edward Island’s employment numbers decreased 100 persons to 91,900 persons when comparing March 2024 to February 2024. On a year-over-year basis, employment increased by 4,700 persons or 5.4% in March 2024. Over the same period, Canada’s employment increased by 1.6% or by 324,300. In Prince Edward Island, there was a year-over-year increase in persons employed full time (+7.7%) and a decrease in persons employed part time (-7.4%).
