Prince Edward Island’s employment numbers decreased 500 persons to 95,500 persons when comparing April 2026 to March 2026. On a year-over-year basis, employment increased by 1,900 persons in April 2026. Over the same period, Canada’s employment increased by 0.3% or by 67,000. In Prince Edward Island, there was a year-over-year increase in persons employed full time (2.2%) while there was a year over year increase in persons employed part time (0.8%).
