In June 2023, based on data unadjusted for seasonality, 3,070 people received regular Employment Insurance (EI) benefits in Prince Edward Island, down 890 recipients from May 2023. Compared with June 2022, the number of beneficiaries decreased by 1,420, or 22.5%. By comparison, the number of beneficiaries decreased by 31.6% in Canada over the same period.
