In February 2026, based on data unadjusted for seasonality, 10,550 people received regular Employment Insurance (EI) benefits in Prince Edward Island, down 520 recipients from January 2026. Compared with February 2025, the number of beneficiaries increased by 430 or 4.2%. By comparison, the number of beneficiaries increased by 6.6% in Canada over the same period.
