In December 2024, based on data unadjusted for seasonality, 9,520 people received regular Employment Insurance (EI) benefits in Prince Edward Island, up 970 recipients from November 2024. Compared with December 2023, the number of beneficiaries decreased by 30 or 0.3%. By comparison, the number of beneficiaries increased by 6.0% in Canada over the same period.
