Job Description:

Rainbow Beginnings Early Learning Centre Inc, is a childcare centre in St Teresas. We will have family groupings and are based on the Emergent Curriculum approach.
 
Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.)

ECE Level I, II or II (wage based on certification and experience)

First Aid Certificate; CPR Certificate, food safety course,WHIMIS

Experience
Early Childhood Educator/Assistant Skills
Ability to discuss day to day progress and issues of the children at regular staff meetings.
Maintain diapering, feeding and caring for all the children.
Planning and carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children.
Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and creating learning experiences based on emergent curriculum.
Submit written observations on children to supervisors.

Education
Early Childhood Education Diploma would be an asset, but we are willing to train a suitable candidate who has the passion and desire to work in an engaging, exciting, and creative childcare environment.

Additional Skills
Ability to maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties.
Record keeping.  Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and issues of children.  Develop and maintain relationships with parents.
