Prince Edward Island’s employment numbers decreased 100 persons to 96,600 persons when comparing June 2026 to May 2026. On a year-over-year basis, employment increased by 4,600 persons in June 2026. Over the same period, Canada’s employment increased by 0.5% or by 99,000. In Prince Edward Island, there was a year-over-year increase in persons employed full time (3.6%) while there was a year over year increase in persons employed part time (14.0%).
