Job Summary: Rodd Hotels & Resorts is seeking an experienced, energetic, and hands-on General Manager to lead Rodd Royalty Hotel, one of our distinctive properties in beautiful Prince Edward Island.

The ideal candidate is a confident hospitality professional who leads by example and is committed to operational excellence, team development, and outstanding guest satisfaction. This role requires a strong passion for sales and marketing, a solid understanding of food & beverage operations, and an enthusiasm for building meaningful relationships within the local community.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced hospitality leader to lead a dynamic hotel operation, contribute to the continued success of Rodd Hotels & Resorts, and create exceptional guest experiences that showcase the warmth and hospitality of PEI.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Be highly visible, approachable, and engaged with both guests and staff
  • Lead by example, demonstrating self-confidence, professional, energy and enthusiasm
  • Provide effective leadership, coaching, and mentorship to hotel teams to achieve and exceed guest service expectations
  • Clearly communicate all organizational goals, performance results, and expectations to team members
  • Foster a positive culture of teamwork, engagement, and recognition through ongoing reward initiatives
  • Achieve budgeted revenue and profitability targets while balancing cost control with guest satisfaction
  • Develop, manage, and monitor annual budget and capital expenditure plans
  • The focus will also be on maintaining and elevating the level of operations at our on-site restaurant, Wally’s Restaurant & Lounge
  • Lead revenue management strategies in collaboration with corporate team, maximizing revenue through yield management and inventory control systems
  • Build strong relationships within the local community and represent the hotel with tourism partners, business organizations, and industry associations

Key Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field is preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Hotel, Hospitality Management and/or F&B
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team to achieve common goals
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, adaptable and results-driven
  • Proven track record of driving guest satisfaction, revenue growth, and operational excellence in a luxury hotel environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of hotel operations: Food & Beverage, Sales & Marketing, Maintenance, Rooms Division, Maintenance, and Human Resources
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with a customer-centric approach to service delivery
  • Must be willing to relocate to Prince Edward Island
  • Must have a valid driver license and ability to commute
