POSITION TITLE: Airport Maintenance Technician (AMT) – Electrician

SALARY: As per the Collective Agreement

DEADLINE: September 25, 2026

Campbell Airport (YYG), Prince Edward Island’s primary commercial airport. Summary of Duties:

  • Performs electrical maintenance and inspections of various airport facilities, including airside high-voltage infrastructure.
  • Supports airport capital projects by providing electrical expertise.
  • Performs a variety of general maintenance duties, including snow removal during the winter months and grounds and facility maintenance throughout the summer.
  • Maintains Airport Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) training and certification requirements and responds to airport emergencies as an Airport Rescue Fire Fighter.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • A minimum of Grade 12 (or equivalent)
  • Red Seal Electrician certification
  • Valid Class 3 Driver’s License with Air Brake Endorsement (minimum)
  • Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code
  • Experience with preventative maintenance and inspections
  • Experience operating loaders, graders, or snow removal heavy equipment is considered an asset
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Restricted Area Security Pass (RAIC), Airside Vehicle Operators Permit (AVOP), as well as a radio operator certificate (ROC-A)
  • Required to complete and maintain all airport-provided Aircraft Rescue Firefighter (ARFF) training and certification requirements
  • Must be available to work rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional call-ins

The individual hired as a result of this advertisement will be trained in Airport Firefighting techniques and, once trained, will perform duties in all areas of Airport operations and maintenance.

  • Basic computer skills, including email, electronic forms, and reporting systems
