General Labourer – Cheese Pack 

ADL Water St. – Summerside, PE – Permanent Full-time Position

Position Overview: 

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented General Labourer to join our Production team, primarily supporting the Cheese Pack area.

This role combines hands-on production and packaging duties with completing and organizing production paperwork. It requires someone who is comfortable with routine work, maintains focus throughout long shifts, and takes pride in doing tasks accurately and consistently.

Location: ADL Water St., 79 Water St., Summerside, PE

Work Environment and Schedule:

  • Active food production environment where food safety, cleanliness, and quality are expected at all times
  • Work areas may be warm, humid, or noisy, with exposure to water, cleaning chemicals, and moving equipment
  • The regular schedule is Monday–Thursday, following a three-week rotation:
    • Two weeks on day shift: 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
    • One week on night shift: 4:30 p.m.–3:00 a.m.
  • The position is primarily assigned to Cheese Pack, with flexibility required to support other departments and production duties.
  • Schedules and assignments may change based on production needs, including work on weekends or holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with cheese packaging and daily production activities.
  • Complete production forms and records clearly, accurately, and on time.
  • Keep paperwork organized and report missing information, errors, or discrepancies.
  • Follow work instructions, food safety requirements, quality standards, and safe work procedures.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
  • Work cooperatively with supervisors and team members to meet production needs.
  • Support other departments and perform additional production duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Strong attention to detail and good organization skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete paperwork accurately.
  • Ability to perform physical production duties, including prolonged standing and moving products or materials.
  • Availability to work rotating day and evening shifts.
  • Previous production, packaging, or recordkeeping experience is an asset.
  • Patience and consistency when performing repetitive tasks.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
